Featuring Meg Wheatley

We’re thrilled to announce that Meg Wheatley, PhD will be featured as a conversation starter and guest expert at the summer HCI Alumni Coaches Retreat!

Meg is a legendary voice in the world of leadership, known globally for her groundbreaking work on leading with humanity, courage, and compassion. A former Peace Corps volunteer, consultant to leaders across six continents, and author of 13 influential books, including Leadership and the New Science and Who Do We Choose to Be? Meg brings a lifetime of wisdom and a fierce commitment to restoring sanity in a chaotic world.

She’s also the founder of Warriors for the Human Spirit, a global community of leaders and activists dedicated to serving with integrity, no matter the circumstances; a community and ongoing dialogue which our own DJ Mitsch is part of.

This is a VERY rare offer to learn directly from one of the most powerful and inspiring thought leaders of our time.

Ground Yourself, Grow, and Thrive

The retreat is designed around renewal, well-being, breath, holding space, going deep within for self-care as we train ourselves for navigating complexity in this time and space. Inspired by the beautiful Blue Ridge mountain’s recovery from last fall’s hurricanes and floods, we will be embracing the energy of change, recovery and transformation.

Deepen Self Exploration Through Enneagram

Explore instincts, shadows, and energy to create personal capacity to hold space.

Coaching Conversations with Peers

Engage in small group sessions with faculty mentors and peers in the medical profession. Recalibrate your coaching skills in service of your clients.

Rejuvenate + Reflect

Practice holistic self care: mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. Enjoy delicious, healthy meals made just for our group.

Connect with Mother Nature

Explore the 63-acre beautiful property for reconnecting through silence and being with nature. Walk the labyrinth, journal, chat with new and familiar colleagues and faculty.

Engage with Expert Faculty and Guests

Conversation among masters format: expert opens up the conversation and participants work in small group breakouts to go more deeply into the content.

Walk a Medicine Wheel

Walk a Medicine Wheel for a path of health, well-being and integration – body, mind spirit.  This is known in  cultures around the world as original medicine.  This will be a ritual, reminder of your connection to all that is, to purpose, and to each other.
